New Heat Sink Tool

• The purpose of the heat sink tool is to aid in the dissipation of heat generated when welding the weld-plate into the bottom dish of a vessel.  This will minimize potential weld plate distortion due to heat that may affect fit of the Sterimixer® impeller and/or drive unit.

• The heat sink tool is available for all sizes of weld-plates.

• Each heat sink consists of a heat sink plate, heat sink ring, o-ring(s), fittings, and hardware.

• The heat sink ring is fitted to the weld plate OD.  The heat sink plate is installed to the weld-plate skirt and has fittings that allow the circulation of a cooling media (such as water).

After welding using the heat sink tools, it is recommended to use the weld-plate gauge tool to verify that the weld-plate is within tolerance.
